How The Law Of Attraction Really Works

If you are interested in self-help, I am sure you already heard the term – Law of attraction.

It is one of the hottest topics out there.

But, more I read and see how people think of Law of attraction, more I realize, they get it a little bit wrong.

In this article, I would like to explain to you:

  • What the law of attraction is,
  • What most people get wrong about the Law of attraction
  • And mainly, how you can make the law of attraction really works for you.

Let´s get to it.

What Is The Law Of Attraction

People use The Law of Attraction to manifest all they want into their lives.

In my opinion, the term Law of attraction could be simply transferred as the power of belief.

It says, more you believe in something, more likely it happens.

That´s the reason why people who are into law of attraction always tells you, to think positively, which I am all for.

The whole idea behind the law of attraction comes from the fact, that your thought is a thing with its own magnetic power.

Which thoughts you send to the universe, these kinds of results you are going to get. 

  • If you think consistently of getting a promotion, you are more likely to get one.
  • If you think of all possible excuses why you can´t be promoted, but your colleague can, you will most likely not get your dreamed promotion.

This is a simple explanation, what the Law of attraction is. The key is to be positive and focus on things you want to accomplish, not those you want to avoid.

What People Usually Do Wrong

The biggest mistake, people do, when it comes to the law of attraction, is that all they do is belief.

Believing in something is only the first thing you need to do when you want to achieve a goal.

If you want to earn a Million $, but you don´t believe, you can do so, you won´t earn a Million $.

Believing is first, but not the only thing, that makes the law of attraction works for you.

If you want to win a lottery and all you do is believe and think about you winning a lottery, but you forget to submit a ticket, what happens?

I am 100% sure, no matter how much you believe, you will not win a lottery.

How The Law Of Attraction Really Works

To make the Law Of Attraction works for you, you need to follow these 3 steps:

1 – Belief

We already covered this. Believing in something is the first thing you need to do when you want to achieve it.

If you don´t believe you can win a football match, you shouldn´t bother to go to the pitch.

But, don´t stick only to believing. It´s necessary, but it is still just a start.

2 – Action

This is the step, the majority of people who struggle to make the law of attraction work for them forget to follow.

They think, believing in something, is enough. The truth is, it´s not.

You can´t sit all day, believing in something and expecting it happens.

If it is true, I believe every person in the world would be millionaire, have a six-pack and beautiful healthy relationships.

But, you know, it´s not so simple. If you want something, you have to do something for it.

To get what you want, you have to deserve what you want. The world is not yet a crazy enough place, to reward a whole bunch of undeserving people. – Charlie Munger

My Facebook Argument

Once, I saw a post in one Fb group, which said:

How do I manifest a brand new house in my life?

I understood it´s a person who thinks, believing is enough. So, I comment something like that:

I believe, you can visualize yourself having a new house, you can belief and try to manifest your house, but I don´t think, you can manifest a new house without doing something for it.

I logged out, and after  a few hours, when I came back, I saw a few (angry) reactions to my comment:

  • This is just your limiting belief…
  • I am sorry for you…

And so on, and so on. Some people wanted to strongly argue with me about this.

3 – Reality

Once you really believe in your goal, you automatically start to take action towards it, which create your new reality.

Believing itself will not bring you new results.

What belief can do, is to force you to take necessary action, which eventually leads to your new reality (for example a brand new house reality 😊).

This shows exactly how the law of attraction works and mainly, how you can make it work for you.

Start with believing, continue with taking action and you create your new, dreamed reality.

Exercise From Napoleon Hill

I know, you can´t make yourself believe in something overnight. To help you with that, I want to present to you an exercise, from Think And Grow Rich.

Affirmation Exercise

You basically write something like this:

I (name) have ……… (Example: 10 million $, great partner, a six-pack,…).

I achieve this because of every day I  (Example: run, exercise, read, communicate, form habits, love my partner work hard,…)

I can do that because I am (Example: confident, disciplined, kind…)

If you want, you can add a few more statements and if you get your goals a specific deadline, it´s even more powerful.

The key is to read these statements at least two times a day.

When you hear something all the time, you start to believe it. Even more, when you hear something what you always wanted, over and over.

  • So, more you do this exercise, more you gonna believe in achieving your goals.
  • More you gonna believe in your goals, more necessary action you take.
  • And more action you take, sooner you form your new reality.

This is the formula to follow if you want to make the Law Of Attraction to works for you.


The Law Of Attraction is very useful when you know how to use it. It has the power to bring you anything you always wanted in life.

What you need to do, is to follow all 3 steps I shared with you today, not just 2.

Don´t be one of the people who think, that all it takes is to sit home, belief, send good thoughts into the universe and you get a new house. It doesn´t work like that.

Follow these 3 steps, do an affirmation exercise and I am sure, you are gonna be moving closer to your goals.
